Green-Perched Looper (J. Stiefel) wrote.. Whoever assigned its scientific name, must have seen what I did. Diachrysia is from the Greek prefix, dia, meaning "through, throughout, during, over, across," and the Greek word, chrysos, meaning "gold, gold-colored"; balluca, is from the Greek word, ballo, meaning "to throw, emit," and the Latin word, lucis, meaning "light."
